Privacy Policy

This policy explains how APEXTENS processes personal data when you use the SunQuest mobile application, visit sunquest.app, contact us or subscribe to our communications.

Last updated: 14 September 2026

In brief. SunQuest does not require an account. Core location calculations are performed for the features you request, and saved places are primarily kept on your device. Certain service providers may nevertheless process technical, purchase, diagnostic, support or website data as described below.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

The controller is APEXTENS, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS), SIREN 838 476 026, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register, whose registered office is at 128 rue La Boétie, 75008 Paris, France.

2. Data processed in the SunQuest app

Location and saved places

With your device permission, SunQuest uses your current, selected or searched location to display solar information, maps and related features. Saved places, preferences and recent app state are primarily stored locally on your device. Map and search requests may transmit coordinates, search terms, IP address and technical information to mapping providers such as Mapbox or Apple.

Purchases and app usage

To offer, validate and restore subscriptions or purchases, RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier, transaction and entitlement information, app/device technical data and attribution information. SunQuest may also send product-usage signals such as launches, feature use, paywall interactions, notification status, voluntarily supplied interests or acquisition source, and cancellation feedback. Payment card details are handled by Apple or Google and are not received by APEXTENS.

Diagnostics and security

When enabled in production, Sentry helps us diagnose crashes and errors. Reports may contain device and app information, logs, app state (including the selected location, settings and purchase state) and a screenshot captured at the time of a crash. We use this information to maintain the reliability and security of SunQuest.

Support

If you contact support, we process your email address, message and any information you choose to provide. To help diagnose a problem, the support message may include an app-user identifier, device identifier/model, operating-system and app versions, language, country and relevant settings.

  • Audience measurement and embedded content: where enabled, and subject to your cookie choices where required, Google services and embedded YouTube or Instagram content may place or read identifiers and receive technical usage data.

You can refuse or withdraw non-essential cookies through the consent settings displayed on the website. Essential cookies remain active where needed for security and operation.
